Abstract Submission Guidelines for EEM2025 Congress
Abstracts must be:
- Original and relevant to any field covered by the EEM2025 Congress.
By submitting an abstract, authors confirm the following:
- The data have not been previously published as a full paper. If accepted, the abstract will be published in the official EEM2025 publication – Book of Abstracts (open access, CC-BY). Only presented abstracts will be published; if the author cannot present, the abstract will be withdrawn.
Review and Notification Process:
- An expert panel will review abstracts. They may be selected for poster presentation or rejected. Notifications will be sent to authors via email, along with poster preparation guidelines for accepted abstracts.
Requirements for the Presenting Author:
- EEM2025 Registration: Must be registered for the congress and present the poster during designated presentation times.
- Co-Author Approval: Ensure all co-authors have contributed to, are aware of, and agree with the abstract content.
Poster Display and Presentation:
- Accepted abstracts will be presented as posters during the EEM2025 Congress, held from 2 to 4 April 2025.

Authors preparing a full paper for the journal Engineering Proceedings (SCOPUS INDEXED), which will serve as the official Proceedings of the EEM2025 Congress, must adhere to the specific guidelines and the MDPI template. Full papers will be published in electronic form, with a maximum page limit of 10.

EEM2025 Standards
The EEM2025 will adhere to the following standards:
- Unbiased review for all papers regardless of the race, gender, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship or political philosophy of the authors.
- Authors and editors agree to comply with the journal's ethical policy.
- Reviewers shall give an overall recommendation for each paper and supply comments to support their recommendation.
- Editors and organizers shall only accept papers for publication where there is clear support from the reviewers.
The following criteria will be considered by the EEM2025 editors and referees in their evaluation:
- Originality/Novelty: Is the question original and well-defined? Do the results provide an advance in current knowledge?
- Quality of Presentation: Is the paper written in an appropriate way?
- Scientific Soundness: Is the study correctly designed and technically sound?
- Interest to the Readers: Are the conclusions interesting for the readers? Will the paper attract a wide readership, or only be of interest to a limited number of people?
- Overall Merit: Is there an overall benefit to publishing this work? Does the work provide an advance towards the current knowledge? Have the authors addressed an important long-standing question with smart experiments?
- English Level: Is the English language appropriate and understandable?
Manuscripts submitted should meet the highest standards of publication ethics:
- Manuscripts should only report results that have not been submitted or published before, even in part.
- Manuscripts must be original and should not reuse text from another source without appropriate citation.
- For studies with biological subjects, the studies reported should have been carried out in accordance with generally accepted ethical research standards.
If authors choose a different support publication for their paper, the paper should be formatted according to the selected publication's requirements, ensuring compliance with all guidelines regarding reference formatting, use of the An PAPER TEMPLATE, and page formatting for text, attachments, and illustrations (figures, tables, equations, and references), as outlined in the Instructions for Authors of the selected publication.

The general guidance for authors is that authors should prepare images of adequate quality. The images cannot be scanned. The text and signs in the illustrations should be visible and readable. The International System of Units and commonly used expressions in the technical profession should be used in the introduction, experimental part, results, discussion and conclusions sections. Detailed mathematical derivations should be avoided.

The authors who submit their papers to the EEM2025 Congress agree to the following terms:
- Authors retain copyright over their work while allowing Congress to place this unpublished work under a Creative Commons License, which allows others to freely access, use, and share the work, with an acknowledgment of the work’s authorship and its initial presentation at the EEM2025 congress.
- Authors are allowed to waive the terms of the CC license and enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution and subsequent publication of this work (e.g., publish a revised version in a journal, post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgment of its initial presentation at the EEM2025 congress.
Authors are encouraged to post and share their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) at any point before and after the EEM2025 congress.
On-Site Poster Presentation Instructions
- Numbered poster cards will be available in the poster hall one hour before the session starts.
- Participants are responsible for mounting their posters during the presentation and removing them as soon as the session ends. Posters left up past that time will be discarded.
- Poster awards will be announced at the end of the day/session.
Poster size: The posting boards are 90 cm (width) x 100 cm (height). The poster size must be 90 cm (width) x 100 cm (height).
For Speakers
- The presentation time should be strictly followed. Please stop when signaled by the Chair to do so.
- Users of Mac systems should be responsible for the compatibility with the Windows system used at the lectern.
- Taking the timelines into consideration, using personal laptops is not recommended unless under unavoidable conditions.
- Oral presentations are available only for invited and plenary speakers.
Basic presentation requirements
- Windows-compatible presentation.
- Presentation PowerPoint 2007/2008/2010/2011 format (PPT, PPTX, .PPSX).
- Please take steps to compress your videos (AVI, MPEG and WMV).
- Each slide should be designed to be concise, uncluttered and readable from a distance: Please include only keywords and phrases for visual reinforcement. Avoid lengthy text.
- Usage of fonts: Arial, Times New Roman, Courier and Symbol are best presented.
AV Set up:
- Basic AV setup would be provided; slider with pointer, cordless mike, desktop mike, lapel, and basic sound system.
- If you have any audio/video to be played, they should be checked one day before the session with the AV team.
Upload your presentation
- It is recommended to send your presentation 3 days before the start of the EEM2025.
- You can email the presentation to the designated EEM2025 email.
- However, if unable to send it, you can always upload your presentation (save the presentation on a USB Flash drive) on the conference day at the lectern. The USB Flash drive will be scanned before transferring the presentation to the presentation folder.
- Once the presentation is completed it will be permanently removed.
